Inside the Conductor:

Close-up of a cross-section of an electrical cable showing copper wires, insulation layers, and protective outer casing.

To water-block the interstitial gaps inside the conductor, specific grades of Tianrong non-conductive and semi-conductive water-blocking tapes are applied between wire layers during stranding. This targeted barrier halts longitudinal water migration from the inside out, strictly isolating moisture damage if an outer breach occurs.

Product selection:

We offer a versatile range of premium materials tailored to your specific application and engineering requirements:

  • Non-Conductive Water-Blocking Tape: DZSS152, DZSD150

  • Semi-Conductive Polyester Water-Blocking Tape: BDZSD252

Technical Features and Operational Benefits

High Swelling Performance

Utilizing cable-grade superabsorbent polymers (SAPs), these tapes provide rapid expansion rates upon contact with water and maintain thermal stability under continuous operating temperatures.

Process-Friendly Controlled Breakage

Engineered with sufficient tensile strength to withstand high-speed line feeding, the tape is designed to fracture under the mechanical compression of the stranding process. This structural breakdown ensures direct metal-to-metal contact between the wire layers, preventing increased electrical resistance and maintaining conductor conductivity.
